WebApp and MobileApp Privacy Policy
At Synkro®, we are committed to protecting our users' privacy and ensuring the security of the data collected through our application. This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, how we store it and what rights our users have regarding their data. By using our application, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. What information do we collect?
Synkro collects the information required for the application to work properly, focused on the digitisation and validation of field processes. The types of information we may collect include:
- Geolocation data: We record the device's GPS location to attach precise coordinates to each form or piece of evidence captured. This makes it possible to validate the exact place and time of each recorded activity.
- Photos, files and media: Users may capture or upload images, videos, recordings or other files as visual or technical evidence of the actions performed.
- Form data: We collect the information entered in the digital forms customised by each organisation. This data may include names, national ID numbers (RUN/RUT), dates, notes and measurements, among others.
- Electronic signatures: Certain forms require a simple electronic signature. This signature is stored and protected using hashing techniques, guaranteeing its integrity and traceability.
- Attachments: Technical documents or previous forms may be uploaded to complement field activities.
- Device and usage information: Optionally and anonymously, we may collect technical data such as device type, operating system and usage statistics to improve the application's performance.
2. How do we use your information?
All information collected is used for operational, non-commercial purposes. We use the data to:
- Allow users to record and document field processes digitally, securely and traceably.
- Link each activity to its real-world context (location, time, evidence).
- Generate automatic, reliable reports for decision-making or billing processes.
- Synchronise data captured in the field with a desktop platform (SaaS) where it can be viewed, validated and exported.
- Protect information against tampering and guarantee its authenticity.
- Improve the user experience by identifying areas for improvement in the application.
Under no circumstances do we share your data with third parties without your consent, unless there is an explicit legal requirement.
3. Permissions requested by the application
To work properly, Synkro requires certain device permissions, which are explicitly requested from the user:
- Location (GPS): To capture exact coordinates on each form.
- Camera and gallery: To take or upload photos and media files as evidence.
- Microphone (if audio is enabled): To record voice notes or sounds when the form requires it.
- Storage: To temporarily save files, forms or images before synchronisation.
- Network (Wi-Fi or mobile data): To synchronise information with the desktop system and receive updates.
4. Information security
We take the security of your data extremely seriously. We implement multiple technical and organisational measures to prevent unauthorised access, data loss or improper alteration. These measures include:
- User authentication mechanisms.
- Hash protection for signed evidence.
- Access control and role-based user management.
- Audit trails and traceability for every recorded action.
5. User rights
Synkro users have the right to:
- Access the information they have generated.
- Request the correction or deletion of incorrect, incomplete or outdated data.
- Object to certain types of processing, where permitted by law.
- Request data portability in readable formats.
6. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy at any time to reflect changes in legislation, new app features or improvements to our services. We will notify you of any significant change through the application or your registered email address (if applicable). We recommend reviewing this policy periodically to stay informed about how we protect your information.
